February 26th: – A Variety Night Fundraiser
We’ll be having a charity fundraiser for the Wood Green Animal Shelter at the Plough on Friday the 26th February.
Performers will include loads of faces familiar to regulars at the Folk Club including Other Theresa, Graham Larkbey, Al Neville, Roger Huddle and yours truly who is also MC for the evening.
Plus there’ll be loads of other singers and comedians.
Admission is free and it all kicks of at 8.
The organisers have also asked me to pass on the following…
“We would like donations of hardback books, dvd’s, videos, cd’s, Unopened tins/pckts animal/pet food, old duvets/quilts/blankets, etc, etc if you have any to spare. We can then sell this and raise much needed funds for the charity. Telephone Dave on 020 8509 2635 if you would like any further information or may have something you would like to donate that is not on the list. We will have a collection during the evening. ALL donations will go to the charity, NO ONE is recieving any money for performing or organising tonight.
So far we have sent the charity £230. Part of this money will pay for a primary school to be visited by members of this charity to educate young children in the upkeep and wellbeing of animals. “
